    Dealing With Elevation While Putting

The Midwest has areas with beautiful rolling hills, some mountainous regions, and a lot of flat lands.  This region of the United States gives us beautiful forests and a lot of farmland.  It also gives a home to a large amount of disc golf courses.  Some of these courses are technical tracks built through a forest and others are wide open fields where the wind wreaks havoc on your flying plastic.  One thing is for sure, a lot of these disc golf courses are located in city and county parks where the terrain is mostly flat. Ace Race 2015 Disc Reveal

We here at Disc Golf Putt Heads are very excited to hear that the 2015 Discraft Ace Race disc is in fact a putter! Chris is guessing the putter will be an overstable model like a Gateway Wizard or the new DGA Steady.  Rodney is guessing we’ll see Discraft’s answer to the Dynamic Discs Judge with a small amount of turn and an equal amount of fade. What is your guess?  Let us know on Twitter or in the Comments section below. The full player pack is revealed on 7/20.  I suggest finding a local event and reserving your spot now: http://discgolfacerace.com/

Putting in the Wind – Disc Golf

Wind putting.  Did that hurt your ears?  I didn’t even censor it.  Putting in the wind is a curse in disc golf and no one ever wants to hear that terrible phrase uttered as they’re walking out to the course.  Sadly we must face it, especially those of us in windy geographies like the Midwest where the wind whips around the bend. Your solution?  Most likely to automatically find the heaviest most overstable putter available and throw that brick at the chains.  If not, then good for you!

    Kastaplast Berg Review

Not too long ago I won a Kastaplast putter, a K2 Berg, through an All Things Disc Golf contest.  The Berg has not left my bag since and is my go to upshot and approach disc, although I rarely use it for a putt under 75 feet. This is my review of the Berg.

The majority of our reviews will be putters We’ll probably make some mention to the disc’s performance on full throws, but specifically putting with the putters Reviews will be short and sweet
